Needles and Leaves

Bristle away,
Whisper and sway,
Above and beyond my realm.
I contently stride
Around your side,
Then sit and rest against it.
My thought is
Swiftly caught
By my breath and says,
"Never ceasing,
Green and hissing,
Art thou weary from waving?"
"Nay, for the wind is moving us."
"Yet your limbs
Do not stiffen
Even in constant motion?"

"Not any more than a human life
Lead by God."

  1. I absolutely love this one, JD. The composition is so great, and the whole thing is quite beautiful. Perhaps my favorite of yours, this.
