Personal Creativity

I believe that in order to create, one must have a fundamental understanding of who they are, and who they wish to become. Obviously, no man or woman truly knows what resides in every facet of their being. And in the same manner, an obscure future is not uncommon in the least. However, to create art is to found an idea, or to portray an idea that was founded within one's self. And how can one construct material from one's thoughts, without knowing what lies therein?

Know what you think. Think of it some more. And then, when it has come to a boil, create art with those thoughts and emotions. It will be your own. Yes, perhaps inspired by outside sources...but your own nonetheless, because you understood what was found within, and discovered a way to share it.
